Onboard the United Airlines ( my first time ) we arrived in HK around 9am. We needed to stroll around our hotel because our room was not ready yet. I've seen some picture of my friends taken from Spaghetti House restaurant. There may be some historical / interesting fact about it that I don't know so we thought of trying it. Well, for me it was just OK. I tried their black sauce risotto. The black ink of the squid was used as a sauce and I missed this so much. We have the same dish in the philippines only that we mix it along with some noodle. yum!
Now I understand why friends visiting HK are saying that the hotel rooms there are small. Before I was wondering how small a hotel room can be, but now I understand :) but it was rather cute to me. We stayed at Dorsett Far East hotel. I think it is quite far from the city central.
What I find interesting and lovely in HK is its scenery. You will see a hill and on top of that you'll see a building. Very interesting. Some will just make you wonder how did they build them. For sure there's a lot of things to consider when they putting up those buildings. It's really interesting and it's just really great to see. It's like the collaboration of nature and the modern world.
Buildings are like sticks standing next to each other. It was a breathtaking view up in the air. I once uttered during our trip that HK is like the combination of Singapore and Manila. You'll see a very beautiful building standing tall on one side and you'll find some old and untidy buildings on the other. And that for me makes HK very unique.
Another thing that I loved was that it looks like a giant light bulb. Up in the Victoria Peak you will see the entire city. It was a spectacular view. Very romantic and very charming. I kept thinking is it mandatory in HK to not turn off the lights? :) How much does it cost them? But I'll leave those questions behind (if you know anything, feel free to comment :))
Feng Shui is a big thing in HK. i'll leave the research to you on that but if you have time and money, you may want to visit the JW Jewellery for some jewellery shopping of course. It houses specially crafted jewellery to attract good luck, good health, etc. Don't worry, they have some cheap goodies too. :) around 200 HKD for a bracelet (around 26 USD or 35 SGD) not bad yah?
Let me just say this, visiting HK is very easy ( at least for us in Asia ), but if you want to get the best out of your trip, book a package tour. I'm telling you, it will really help you stroll around HK much easily.
Stick around for more of my HK adventure next week :)

Singapore - National Museum of Singapore
Although I've been staying in Singapore for the last 3 years, I have never visited their National Museum. As usual I am impressed with it. The ambience is very modern with the touch of history. Above is the facade of the museum. It is located in front of SMU (one of the premiere schools in Singapore) You can take the purple and red MRT line in Dhoby Gaut or Bras Basah for Cirle MRT line.
The majestic ceiling of the museum
These are the moving chandelier
indoor camping anyone? :)
you can also eat inside if you go hungry.
I just really love this majestic view inside the museum
the first room that we entered was the fashion house. It has the fashion mostly by the first ladies of Singapore. Inside the room are the quotes from some prestigious people in the fashion world.
Next stop was the film house where you can see the old ways of watching a film. 3 screens are inside and I am just really thankful with the technology as watching a movie on 3 screens was quite frustrating. Every scene jumps from one screen to another.
You will also see some costumes and hair dresses in this film house.
Although I only visited 2 rooms, I am just too excited to visit again. I'd like to see what are the interesting things inside the other rooms in the museum

Singapore - Flea Market and Chili's
Although some people come to Singapore for high end shopping ( LV, Chanel, Prada, etc ) there are however flea markets such as above where you can buy very cheap used clothing. And take note they are actually branded, such as TopShop, Zara, etc but of course you just have to find a good one for you. The one visited was at Tanglin Mall in orchard, according to my friend, the flea market is open every 1st Saturday and last Saturday of the month.
And if you are hungry after the flea market shopping, indulge in the american style of food at Chilli's. Though quite expensive but I must say that the food is very good. Try their baby back ribs, it tastes really good :) yum!

Universal Studios Singapore
My vacation is officially over.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything to share to you regarding my Philippine trip as I did not really do anything there. But I promise, next time, I will provide some pictures.
Though I don't have pictures when I was in the Philippines, when I was back in Singapore, me and my family went to Universal Studios. I must say, I really really had a great time. I visited some theme park before but never like this. I liked the Mummy returns ride. I didn't know what it was when me and my nephew entered. It was a long walk going to the ride. I really thought that we are just going to sit there and we will just watch a film and the chair will move as we watch the show. But I was wrong. Really wrong. It was like an indoor battlestar galactica. It was really really fun. And the funniest part was before exiting, I didn't know that we had our pictures taken. The result : my eyes were closed and mouth were wide open.
Starting point ..
Welcome!
I've been thinking of creating a blog for a very long time and so here I am.
I am very hesitant to share my whole being so I thought, maybe a blog about traveling will be just fine.
I thought this is a good time to start it as I will be traveling back to my home. The Philippines.
I am not sure what are the places that I can visit but I will really really try my hardest to show / share with you my beautiful home.
Til next time!
